
1st Day With a 1st Grade
For the first time in weeks, I’m sitting at the school and it’s quiet. A crew of 25 volunteers just left after accomplishing a tremendous amount of work. Tremendous seems like too small a word to describe how God has brought together so many people from so many places to transform this building into a space that is truly beautiful. I can’t wait for Friday night when for the first time we get to open up the doors of UCA and throw a party to celebrate all that God has done. I s


Coloring Outside The Lines
Have you ever watched a kid color? I mean just jubilantly smashing the crayon deeply into the paper, disregarding the crisp lines that outline the image they are bringing to life. The kind of coloring that is so much fun it only needs one color to fill in every space on the page. Have you looked into the eyes of that little artist and seen eyes so full of life, eyes that see the beauty in the midst of the chaos of what they just created? I don't color like that. Truth be told
